Announces Year-Round Enrollment Features
OKLAHOMA CITY - This week American
Fidelity eDirect™, online benefits enrollment
provider, announced the rollout of expanded year
round functions to coincide with 2005 enrollments.
eDirect's system, which has supported Open Enrollment
events, New Hire events and data administration
for several years, is launching year-round availability
of its well known user-friendly system to aid
employers in the management of life status event
changes and other mid-year updates to benefits.
A few of the included features
are:
- Ongoing employee eligibility management
- Client defined life status event enrollments
- Scheduled data upload/download process between
eDirect/Client/Carrier
- Comprehensive administration tool package
to manage new hires, terminations, employee/benefit
updates
- Mid-year voluntary non-Section 125 enrollments
- Portal package for handling of employee information
updates
- Access to current benefit statement and benefit
brochures, summary plan descriptions

months on expanding our technology to provide
a turn-key approach to benefits enrollment, and
are pleased to offer the entire "package"
to our client base over the course of the next

For those new to online benefits
enrollment, eDirect recommends a process that
begins with open enrollment and then transitions
to year round support. Site rules and functions
are developed off of an open enrollment baseline
and are then modified to encompass the specific
allowable options under new hire and life status
event situations.
